After his Hall of Fame playing career, Tris Speaker tried his hand at managing in the minor leagues. He first succeeded fellow Hall of Famer Walter Johnson as manager of the Newark Bears, then became part-owner/manager/secretary of the Kansas City Blues in1933. As we can determine from this Speaker signed letter, his stint did not last very long. This is a resignation document dated September 2, 1933, signed "Tris Speaker" in black fountain pen. This document is also signed by the President of the Blues, who also resigned. Letter of Grading and Authenticity by PSA/DNA GEM MINT 10.
