On October 1, 1961 Roger Maris clubbed his 61st home run of the season, breaking the 34 year old record of 60 home runs hit by Babe Ruth in 1927. Along with Mickey Mantle, Maris was part of the "M&M Boys", the home run hitting duo for the New York Yankees. The 25th Anniversary of that record breaking home run moment was captured and preserved in this First Day Cover, dated October 1, 1986, boldly signed "Mickey Mantle" in blue ink. The autograph has been PSA graded MINT 9.
