While there were few rookie cards issued in the 1953 Topps set, one of the most important issues of any card in the set was the short-printed, high-numbered Jim Gilliam rookie card. Presented for your bidding pleasure, this beauty has been graded PSA 7 NM from the sticklers at PSA and features four corners at, or superior to, the NM grade, offsetting the centering bias favoring the northwest. Chipping commensurate with the assessed grade is evident, as is a sparkling surface that exhibits one print mark on the black nameplate, so common to the issue.
