While, in retrospect, the Houston Rockets made a big mistake by not grabbing Michael Jordan with the #1 pick of the 1984 NBA draft, they did get a pretty nice consolation prize when they selected Hakeem Olajuwon instead. Hakeem "The Dream" is widely considered one of the top 5 centers ever to play in the NBA, and his career 26,946 points (#10 all-time), 13,748 rebounds (#12 all-time), and 3,830 blocked shots (#1 all-time) seem to agree. Offered is an incredible piece of NBA memorabilia, a game-used and autographed NBA warm-up jacket, worn by Hall of Famer Hakeem Olajuwon during the 1987 season. The jacket exhibits extensive wear, with a light pink shade on the white fabric from numerous washing. All lettering is tackle twill stitched, with Sand-Knit size 44, Sand-Knit Houston Rockets exclusivity label, and team tagged "87" and +1" body length tags stitched into the collar. Also, several numbers were written onto an additional stitched tagged and then blocked out, leaving only Olajuwon's "34" legible. An extremely large and bold “Hakeem Olajuwon, MVP” signature appears on the front. LOA from Mile High Card Co.
