The winningest pitcher of the post-war era, there's no telling how much further up the all-time wins list Spahn would have gone had he not served three years in the military. His 1953 Topps issue is one of the most attractive in the set, sporting a detailed portrait of the young superstar, with a billboard laden outfield fence in the backdrop. Amazingly sharp, with four solid NM/MT corners and surprisingly few blemishes along the black edges.
