Presented is a short-printed ’53 Topps relic featuring Red Sox catcher Sammy White. This card displays tremendously, with a larger-than-life player portrait set against a serene sky-blue background, struck upon the paper stock with impervious detail. In an interesting twist, the lower right corner shows little wear in the susceptible red namebox; it’s the lower left that shows a grade-appropriate touch. Only a single higher-graded example is on record at PSA.
