Graded NM/MT 8 by PSA, the offered Joe Coleman card is a glorious example of the artistic detail that makes the ’53 Topps set so enormously appealing. Rife with bold background colors that allow the facial tones to project in a lifelike manner, with a lustrous application of factory gloss, this one had to have been given consideration for a half-point bump. As it stands, only three other examples have ever graded higher.
