Frankie Crosetti played with the Bronx Bombers for seventeen years and, during his tenure, was one of the best fielders in the American League. His long career was surpassed by another legendary Yankee shortstop, Phil Rizzuto. Crosetti appears on this 1952 high number as a coach for the Yankees, a position he would occupy for another 21 additional seasons. As a player and third base coach for the Yankees, Crosetti was part of 17 World Championship teams and 23 World Series participants overall, from 1932 to 1964, the most of any individual. Four strong NM/MT corners as well as supreme color are the key attributes of this elusive card.
