A unique and rather dubious moment in NFL history took place when New Orleans Head Coach Mike Ditka traded all of the Saints' 1999 draft picks, as well as a 1st and 3rd pick the following year, for the right to move up to the #5 spot and draft Heisman Trophy winning running back Ricky Williams. This was the first time one player was the only draft pick of an NFL team. Williams' career has been mired in controversy, with his sudden retirement, return to the NFL, and suspensions due to drug use. However, his excellent performance on the field is without question, having broken the 1000 yard rushing mark five times and presently anchoring the Miami Dolphins revolutionary "Wildcat" attack. Offered is a game-used Miami Dolphins jersey, worn by premier running back Ricky Williams during the 2003-2004 season, a 1,372 yard rushing campaign that concluded with Williams' tentative "retirement." Sporting a team stitched "03-46" tag on the back inside collar the proper Reebok NFL Equipment label, with "46" and +6 body length flags on the front left tail, this jersey exhibits extensive game use, with heavy dirt and helmet marks evident on the tri-colored numbers and Dolphins insignia.
