This set is typical of the candy issues from that era. It is full of Hall of Famers, issued with a caramel treat (dentists must of had a field day!), and usually primitive looking in appearance. While all its contemporaries were producing much larger sets, this tiny company from Pennsylvania issued its set with a modest 20 cards. Produced on very thin stock, and despite the amount of quality players included, this issue was not widely distributed and tough to find outside of Pennsylvania. The set includes 14 Hall of Famers, and all cards have been graded by PSA. Includes: PSA EX 5 - 1 card, Max Carey; PSA VG-EX 4 - 6 cards w/Grover Alexander, Eddie Collins, Frankie Frisch, Ed Rousch, Derrill Pratt and Cy Williams; PSA VG 3 - 4 cards w/Bill Holke, Rogers Hornsby, Cy Perkins and Whitey Witt; PSA GOOD 2 - 5 cards w/Walter Johnson, Lee Meadows, Ray Schalk, Babe Ruth and George Sisler; PSA PR-FR 1 - 4 cards w/Dave Bancroft, Ty Cobb, Burleigh Grimes and Tris Speaker. This issue is one of the first to picture Babe Ruth in a Yankee uniform (1921 Exhibits), and the Walter Johnson card features him with a bat in a batting pose, which is extremely rare. Unusual issue one which is rarely offered in complete set form.
