An exceptionally well centered example of arguably the most recognizable baseball card in the hobby, the 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle rookie card. The card is graded by SGC 30 GOOD 2. Most cards which are graded GOOD usually have a couple of major creases, some crossing over the subjects image. This is not the case with this example. This card has rounded corners, with some minor corner wrinkling. There is three other light wrinkles, one observed on the front, running from the right edge towards the center, one running from the top edge through Mantle cap. The third is visible on the reverse. What the GOOD grade derives is the surface wear, the front being moderately scuffed. While the scuffing encompasses the entire obverse, the image of Mantle's face is easily visible. The color is better than expected with scuffing of this nature, the golden bat held by Mantle ready to crush another hanging curve ball. The back is amazingly clean, except for the aforementioned back wrinkle. The black and red colors on the back are dark, and the print strike is bold. A well centered example of the most desirable card in the hobby is something that many collectors can get excited about. The opportunity to own a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle rookie card just got a bit easier!
