Clearly the most coveted of all the T201 Mecca Double Folders is the dual Hall of Fame combination of Sam Crawford and Ty Cobb, Tigers teammates and a lethal double-steal operation. Wahoo Sam is widely regarded as being one of the few people who the Georgia Peach was amicable toward, making it more fitting that they should share the same pair of legs on a tobacco card. This example is 1 of a mere 13 Cobb/Crawford specimens to reside in NM 7 holders, with only 5 on record in NM/MT 8 condition and none higher than that. The reverse stat box is centered perhaps better than any other copy I’ve seen, and corners easily meet the standards for the grade.
