Similar to other food products from the era, the Wilson Franks are very difficult to find in high grade. Stains, mishandling and especially centering with this issue are prevalent in regards to condition. Such a small border surrounding the pastel hued backgrounds lends most of the examples to be middle grade or worse. A check of both grading sites' set registries reveals even the best Wilson Franks graded sets have VG/EX and EX graded examples in them. That is why this lot of six SGC graded cards is special, as there are no lower grade cards - only solid mid-grade examples. This lot is comprised of cards graded SGC 50 VG/EX TO SGC 40 EX condition. Includes: Ferris Fain (SGC 60 EX), Bob Feller (SGC 50 VG/EX), Roy McMillan (SGC 60 EX), Enos Slaughter (SGC 50 VG/EX), Vern Stephens (SGC 50 VG/EX) and Sammy White (SGC 60 EX). These cards are stain free and mainly have light corner wear or some typical off-centering. This group gives the collector who has always wanted to begin this set a nice start, including one of the most desirable cards within, "Rapid Robert" Feller.
