During his 17-year NFL career, primarily with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Rod Woodson was one of the best defensive backs in NFL history, and holds the records for career interception return yardage (1,483), interception returns for touchdowns (12) and was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1993. His 71 career interceptions are the 3rd-most in NFL history. Also, Woodson was named to the Pro Bowl eleven times, an NFL record for a defensive back, and was the first player to be selected at cornerback, safety and kick returner.
Offered is a game-used Pittsburgh Steelers road jersey, worn by Hall of Famer Rod Woodson. Featuring the same style and material as Steelers jerseys worn by the Championship teams of the 70’s and continued into the late 1980’s, this jersey dates to the first few seasons of Woodson’s career in Pittsburgh, possibly his rookie season in 1987. The manufacturer’s label has been removed from the front left tail, however the jersey does contain an SCD Authentic hologram, though no Letter of Authentication is present. Game use is evident most noticeably around the tackle twill stitched black numerals and sleeves. LOA from Mile High Card Co.
