In 1962, Roberto Clemente was in the midst of his brilliant Hall of Fame career. Already one batting title in the books, Clemente would go on the win three more hitting crowns. A career .317 hitter, Clemente would get his 3,000th hit during his last regular season game. This SGC example is almost perfect all around. Even the most discriminating 1962 Topps collector would be hard pressed to find flaws with this example. Perfect centering with four chip free corners surround the crisp image of Roberto. The good natured Clemente is attempting to give his best snarl towards to pitcher. The front reveals no print defects and the image is crystal clear.
