Graded by PSA MINT 9. There are many ways for a players baseball card to be desirable. First, the player displayed immense talent on the field of play, accumulating large amounts of the good statistics and winning World Series titles, MVP's and getting elected to the Hall of Fame. That describes players like Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle and Yogi Berra. That does not describe a career .259 hitter who slugged 10 homers. Mr. Lipon did it the old fashioned way - he was lucky enough to have his card land in the very tough semi-high 1953 Bowman series. Four exemplary MINT corners surround an outstanding Kodachrome posed fielding photo. The late day darkened backdrop of Yankees Stadium's towering facade is simply beautiful. A check of the PSA pop report shows this card as one of only 6 examples at this level- with none higher! Upgrade your PSA registered set with this difficult to find semi high number. There might not be another available for a long time.
