Graded MINT 96(9) by SGC. Kelley was an All American half back at the University of Kentucky who went on to a five-year career as a professional playing for both the New York Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers. Kelly's real claim to fame was his 1941 marriage, in New York City, to the "Millionaire Debutante" Brenda Frazier, after whom the long-running comic strip Brenda Star was modeled. The featured card provides the enthusiast a stunning rendition of this art deco styled card that provides for MINT corners as well as unbeatable like new color. The reverse is well imaged with a print and stain free appearance. Of the 42 examples of this card that have been graded by SGC the featured card is one of just 2 copies that has been graded MINT 9 by SGC with none graded higher.
