The offered Don Lund card hails from the high-number series of the 1953 Topps issue, one of the most visually appealing cardboard sets ever produced. Graded NM/MT 8 by PSA, this example features a captivating background color scheme and a nicely focused image of the Tigers’ outfielder. The assigned technical grade stems from two MINTY corners at the top with a slight visible touch to the lower right along with a tolerable and not-uncommon chip or two in the red name box. Only a single example has ever graded higher, at the 8.5 NM/MT level.
