Hall of Famer Al “Red” Schoendienst is the featured subject of this ’53 Topps pasteboard, recently graded NM/MT 8 by PSA. What appears to be some chipping along the red border on the reverse is more than likely a slight rough cut, and only the lower left corner shows a hint of wear to the fragile black ink. Extremely well-focused and centered more than adequately for the opined grade, this is a solid NM/MT specimen that has only five superior competitors on the pop report.
