The celebrated Jim Brown rookie card is seldom seen with adequate centering for a high-grade designation, and in many aspects is football’s counterpart to the ’52 Mickey Mantle card. This example is centered to near perfection, with stunning white borders and razor-sharp corners. The full-bleed color reverse shows only a minor indication of chipping along the top, which is another obstacle that can easily downgrade this card significantly. The only moderate hindrance preventing a higher grade is some expected and entirely tolerable surface wear.
