Crafted in his traditional green ink, the signature is delightfully bold, easily achieving the PSA 8 NM/MT status, and is accompanied by the date of signature, a common practice of Cobb; in this case "11/20/53". A gruff and surly competitor on the field, Cobb was surprisingly generous to autograph seekers and carried his hallmark green pen everywhere.
