Graded MINT 9 by PSA. Issued as part of the ever elusive middle series cards from the exceptionally popular 1953 Bowman Color release hails this amazing MINT pasteboard featuring "Rapid Robert" Bob Feller, one of the finest pitchers to ever toe the slab. Of the 455 copies of this card that have passed through the grading room at PSA the featured relic is one of just 8 copies or an astounding 1.75% of all graded copies that has been anointed the MINT 9 crown by PSA. All four of the corners are sharply and seemingly perfectly defined with each appearing sharper than the last. The centering is splendid and frames this majestic pasteboard in a scintillating fashion almost as if it were a work of art. The surface beams with a light and accurate gleam of gloss that punctuates the abundance of color as well as the adept registration of the image. The reverse displays wonderfully with a creamy antique white stock acting as the palate for a deeply inked bio of the right handed flame thrower, with no thought of staining or stray ink present. In closing a magnificently preserved card of one of the finest pitchers of all time from an elusive series. Wow! does it get any better than this?
