A very solid example of this difficult card. This is one of the most popular cards from the famed 1952 Topps series. And why not? It is the last card of the ultra-desirable high number series, the rookie card of a 500+ home run hitting Hall of Famer. One of the best qualities of the 1952 Topps card is the beautiful color, and this card is no exception. The brilliant blue of the Braves cap immediately catcher the collectors eye, as does the crisp image of the young Mathews. The reverse is extremely clean and bright. Light touches on the corners is consistent with the PSA NM 7 grade. Only 27 examples have been graded by PSA at NM 7, with only 18 unqualified examples grading higher.
