Graded MINT 96(9) by SGC. The offered example is one of just 2 copies of this exceptionally challenging 1953 Bowman high numbered card that has been graded MINT 9 by SGC with none graded higher! each of the four corners appear today as sharp as the day the offered card was pulled from a five cent pack. The surface is a scintillating convergence of a perfectly focused image of the young second baseman who would later manage the Yankees on five different occasions as well as an overabundance of breathtaking color. The gloss that is represented on the obverse of this card lifts it from the norm to a sublime prestigious pasteboard the likes of which are rarely encountered. The reverse is accurate with its deft print quality and lack of extraneous print and staining. A stunning and breathtaking card offered in truly outstanding MINT condition.
