Presented is a stunning cardboard relic of "The Wild Horse of the Osage" who was the personification of the great St. Louis Cardinals "Gas House Gang" teams. Pepper Martin played every play of every game with an unbridled passion that seemingly consumed him and spurred on his teammates! The offered card provides a glimpse into that passionate style of play with a deep resonating colorful art deco style front with attention commanding colors throughout the front of the card. Each of the four corners retain a freshness not usually associated with the issue as well the centering is astute and easily falls withing the grading criteria. The reverse is well printed and void of any disturbance and more than holds up its end of the deal.
