Offered is a high-grade SGC 84 NM 7 example of Mickey Mantle's short-printed 1953 Topps issue. Overall NM corners and edges account for the grade, but everything else appears strong enough to be called NM/MT, if not better. The surface is particularly clean and boasts a tremendously well-registered and precise image with noticeably accurate skin tones, complemented by dead-on perfect centering. There is a negligible line of blue print dots toward the top left corner that is barely noticeable against the pale blue backdrop and is likely too faint to even be picked up in the scan. A genuinely dazzling specimen!
