Offered is an extremely presentable example of Jackie Jensen’s 1948 Leaf card, famous for its error in the spelling of his name. Jackie was a two-sport All-American at the University of California who went on to have a storied baseball career with the Yankees, Senators and Red Sox. The tendered example is 1 of just 2 graded at the NM/MT level with just 2 higher-graded specimen on record. The bold, red background remains as vivid as the day it was printed, and the image is incredibly well-focused and registered, which is somewhat of an anomaly for the ’48 Leaf issue. This is an absolutely stellar card that is sure to please the winning bidder.
