A great batting pose original photo of Hall of Fame outfielder Leon "Goose" Goslin. The 7" x 9" photo was taken during Goslin's last full season in the major leagues by famed baseball photographer Louis Van Oeyen. Gosling was nicknamed "Goose" due to his inability to properly track fly balls, and when he was having trouble, he waved his arms like a goose flapping his wings. Their are several areas of crazing on the photo, none of which detract form the overall image. The verso contains the large "L. Van Oeyen Photographer" stamp and several lines where the subject name and date were written in pencil. There is also a large yellowish-gold stain along the top, which appears to be glue residue. Letter of Authenticity from PSA indicating this is a Type 1 First Generation photograph.
