Simply known as "Pops" in Pittsburgh, Willie Stargell enjoyed a Hall of Fame career that spanned 21 major league seasons, with 475 home runs and over 1,500 runs batted in, capped off in 1979 when Stargell was voted MVP of the regular season, NLCS series, and World Series. Offered is a game-used 1986 jersey, worn by Willie Stargell during his coaching days with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Stitched inside the front left tail is the Rawlings size 50 label, team placed "2 inch extra length" tag and "Set 2 1986" flag. The letter and numbers are tackle twill stitched on the front and back, with the "STARGELL" nameplate single stitched onto the back. Excessive game use is evident, with significant staining along the front and back of the tail. A great jersey of a great Hall of Famer! LOA from Grey Flannel, Mile High Card Co.
