Al "Flip" Rosen enjoyed an incredible 1953 season, with 43 home runs, 145 runs batted in, and his .336 batting average was just a single point shy of earning him AL Triple Crown honors, a feat accomplished only three times in the post-war era. Centered just a hair to the right, the offered specimen is just as incredible and compares favorably with the finest PSA 8 NM/MT examples on record. Just short of qualifying for a half-grade increase, this '53 Bowman Color exhibits clean surfaces and a super-sharp image.
