In the 13 years from 1962-1974, the Baltimore Orioles won 90 or more games nine times, including three consecutive 100-win seasons, with six Division Championships, four American League pennants, and two World Series Championships. And it's no surprise that those years coincide with slugger John "Boog" Powell's tenure with the Orioles. A fan favorite in Baltimore, it was common to hear the chorus of "Boooooog!" belted out in unison on a hot, summer day at Memorial Stadium. With 339 career home runs, it's pretty apparent that, more often than not, Boog delivered! Presented is an exquisite game-used, circa 1960's Boog Powell jersey. The very sight of this amazing jersey brings back memories of those dominant "Bird Belters" of the 60's, with Orioles logo and "26" tackle twill stitched on the front, and individual letters "POWELL" curve stitched onto the reverse. Good game use is evident. This is a real prize, traveling forward almost 50 years and looking for an enthusiastic owner. LOA from Mile high Card Co.
