Graded NM/MT 8 by PSA. The featured card is absolutely one of the more appealing as well as fascinating cards in the entire 1953 Bowman Color issue. "Whitey" having returned from a tour of duty in Korea is seemingly staring in amazement, as if puzzled and delighted that he gets to go back to pitching for the vaunted New York Yankees again. A crisp well focused image of the HOFer appears as a kaleidoscope of color full of definition and gloss. The centering is astute for the grade with a gentle bias towards the left edge. Each of the four corners are well within the boundaries of the grade while there is a small nondescript print dot on the chin of the famed hurler. The reverse is well imaged and void of any disturbance.
