The 1969 Heisman Trophy winner from Oklahoma, Steve Owens didn't quite live up to expectations when drafted by the Detroit Lions, though he did have one Pro-Bowl season when he rushed for over 1,000 yards in 1971. Up for grabs is an early 1970's game-used blue mesh jersey of running back Steve Owens. On the front left tail of the jersey is the "Sand-Knit" manufacturer's exclusive tag for the Detroit Lions. The jersey has been custom trimmed on the bottom, the only apparent alteration, with screened numbers and grey tackle twill "OWENS" sewn across the blue name plate. Good game use is evident. COA by Grey Flannel, Mile High Card Co.
