Viewing this card in person, the unbelievable richness of the cerulean backdrop and portrait of the Brooklyn fireballer is enough to lock the observer into a captivating stare! It's almost as if this specimen was stamped twice, or perhaps at the beginning of a press run when the ink had not yet evened out. Whatever the reason, this '52 Topps card of Ben Wade is as deeply saturated with pigment as is possible, and accompanied by four bona fide NM/MT corners, is an unbelievable offering for the high-end vintage collector!
