Dick Groat's famous 1952 Topps rookie card may be one of the more common '52 Topps rookie high-numbers to find in top grades, but it's still a 1952 Topps high-number star rookie! Groat is of course mostly remembered for his MVP award-wining play in 1960, the same year the Buccos beat the Yanks in the World Series on double-play partner Bill Mazeroski's Game 7 walk-off home run. NM/MT to NM/MT+ corners support equally high-grade edges around a pristinely registered image of the rookie Buc against a nearly immaculate MINT backdrop showing just a smidgeon of print dust in the area between Groat's throat and the Buc emblem. A true high-ender that's just a touch too OC for anything better than NM.
