With PSA 9 MINT specimens of yesteryear's Hall of Famers like Lou Creekmur become increasing popular (and increasingly scarce), it would be wise to go after this elite offering from the 1956 Topps set. An appropriately haunting image of Lou, as he chases down another unfortunate ball-carrier, is surrounded by a radiant, red backdrop that is remarkably print-mark free, an anomaly for the issue. The smooth, white perimeter is MINT quality sharp with just the slightest, barely noticeable, lean toward the left side. One of only 7 to achieve MINT status with none graded higher.
