Andy Coakley is best remembered as Loe Gehrig's coach at Columbia University, a position he held from 1915-51. Coakley won 20 games with the Philadelphia Athletics in 1905 and was the victim of one of three Christy Mathewson shutouts during the 1905 World Series.
