Before guiding the New York Islanders to four consecutive Stanley Cup Championships, Al Arbour was a capable defenseman for the St. Louis Blues from 1967-71. Presented is a game-used 1969-70 St. Louis Blues white #3 jersey of Hall of Famer Al Arbour. While the detached nameplate of “GASSOFF”, who wore #3 in the later 1970s, accompanies the jersey, it was earlier worn by Arbour, as he was the only Blues player to wear #3 with a Captain’s “C” over the left breast. The outline of that removed “C” can be clearly seen on the jersey. The Wilson and Giesler-Jordan tags in the collar, and the repairs are consistent with tagging, stitching, and repairing of the late 1960s and early 1970s. LOA from MeiGray group and Mile High Card Co.
