Great Scott! Could its self-evident centering preference for its north and east edges really be the only quality keeping this high-end 1934 Goudey example of Floyd "Arky" Vaughan from realizing a higher grade than the PSA-opined assessment of NM/MT 8? Corners on the front look just about MINT, though they do show some microscopic NM/MT wear on back. Edges, likewise, look MINT on all sides and on both surfaces but for some characteristic roughness evident on the reverse top. Both surfaces, on the other hand, showcase incredible cleanliness for the issue and, while not perfect, unquestionably appear MINT. With only one example graded higher by PSA, offered is what we very sincerely believe ranks among the hobby's single finest examples of this key HOF issue from the '34 Goudey set.
