Why is it that Mile High Card Company always seems to turn up the most intriguing hobby masterpieces to benefit from PSA's relatively new half-point grading scheme? First there was the T205 Cy Young, then the '54 Wilson Franks Ted Williams, both of which shattered expectations in the new NM/MT+ 8.5 grade, and who knows how many others. Falling right in line with these two hobby legends, here we have the second highest PSA-graded example of Raymond Berry's 1957 Topps rookie card, one of the famous "Big 5" of the distinctive 1957 Topps set, easily among the hobby's most collected gridiron issues, if not the single most coveted one of them all. Brand spanking new to the hobby, and the first and only example in its grade, with only one single copy graded higher! Microscopic touches of enamel loss to the tips of both left corners appear to be the only hindrances, not just to MINT 9, but perhaps even to GEM 10, as every other feature appears to be MINT or better.
