Offered is a game-worn 1999 Theo Fleury jersey from his short-lived career in Colorado. As one of the smallest and yet most explosive and physical players of the 1980s and 90s, Fleury was once considered a long-shot for the NHL, but he would ultimately score over 1,000 points and bring the cup to Calgary in 1989 as well as Olympic gold to Canada in 2002. So popular and successful in Calgary was Fleury, in fact, that just two weeks after he broke Al MacInnis's franchise scoring record, the financially deficient Flames traded him, rather than lose him to free agency, to Colorado, where he played 33 total games in 1999 (18 of them in the playoffs), scoring 15 goals, with 26 assists. From one of the last regular season games of 1999, the offered home jersey shows all the proper tagging and patchwork, including an "LM HL H2" customization tag inside the lower tail noting the alterations to accommodate Fleury's famously short stature. The jersey shows mild game use, with LOA from Mile High Card Co.
