Hand-Painted Autographed Joe DiMaggio Baseball

Here’s a unique item for the avid Yankees enthusiast: an OAL (Brown) ball with a compelling hand-painted portrait of Joe D. on the south panel, by an unknown artist “ES” and dated ’91. Most impressive, however, is the fact that the “Yankee Clipper” has autographed the ball on the sweet spot, in blue ball point pen. The ball itself shows spotty areas of toning with bright red stitching, and the signature would rate a 7 to 8 in terms of strength. You’re not likely to find another one of these any time soon, unless you happen to know the artist “ES,” so grab this one while you can!

 

***ADDENDUM**** The previously unknown artist has now been identified as renowned artist Erwin Sadler, who is well-known throughout the hobby for his remarkable skills and talent in painting baseballs by hand.
