Buoyed by the iconic Joe Namath rookie card, the 1965 Topps football set is popular for its oversized “tall boy” cards, with colorful photos of AFL players set against a boldly colored, solid background. Reverses are printed horizontally, with statistics and highlights as well as a cartoon pertaining to the player. All 176 cards are presented here for your consideration, including the rookie card of Joe Namath, which rates PSA 4 VG/EX. The rest of the set is consistently in the VG/EX to EX range with a few higher or lower.
