The presented 1953 Topps short-printed rookie issue of ice-cool Brooklyn Dodger southpaw Johnny Podres is brand new to the hobby and has been recently graded NM/MT 8 by PSA but must absolutely be considered one of the very finest examples extant. Well-formed NM/MT to NM/MT+ corners join NM/MT+ to MINT edges around a truly breathtaking MINT to GEM MINT obverse image dominated by immensely bold and accurate colors throughout and highlighted by a sensational application of still shimmering gloss. The reverse mirrors the front in both ink saturation and overall cleanliness. Rarely do we encounter specimens with such an eye-pleasing and undeniable "it" factor in the NM/MT 8 range, but there's simply no doubt about this one!
