Up for grabs is a PSA 8 NM/MT 1939 Play Ball example featuring the only player in MLB history to ever have his letter retired; that's right, his letter! In his multiple stints with Philly, Klein wore numbers that would eventually be worn (and retired) by Carlton, Ashburn, Roberts, and Bunning, so in 2001 the Phillies simply retired the old English styled "P" in Klein's honor, which had adorned his cap in his productive years of the late 20s and early 30s.
