We feel very confident in calling the offered 1952 Bowman Large example of "Mr. Everything" the absolute finest of the scant 15 total copies in the NM/MT 8 column on record at PSA. The smallest perceptible angle to the top edge combines with some self-evident and perfectly characteristic print in George's white 50's-styled tee as the only marginally imperfect features throughout. Indeed, a veritable GEM MINT perimeter encompasses an accurately centered and precisely registered image replete with tremendously bold, pack-fresh colors. Quite possibly even superior to the lone MINT 9 specimen, the hobby's finest example, on record at PSA! Brand new to the hobby, and a bona fide marvel of the gridiron canon, this iconic "rookie" issue shows the legendary football pioneer in the midst of his 40 year span as a player and coach with da Bears. "Papa Bear," as they call him across Chicago-land, was a charter member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, located, of course, at 2121 George Halas Drive in Canton, OH. A very substantial addition to even the most elite gridiron collection.
