A relatively average player in his day, Huggins made it to the Hall of Fame as a manager, winning 6 pennants and 3 World Series titles as skipper of the Yankees from 1918-1929. And this 1911 Diamond Gum PE2 pin of "Mighty Mite," graded PSA 6 EX/MT, will soon celebrate its 100th birthday, and looking virtually as good as it did the day it was made. Centered toward three o'clock, the "Free with Diamond Gum" ad around the perimeter is still clear and legible, while the solid blue color and varying shades of the sepia portrait have neither faded nor run together and remain sharp.
