Recently graded EX/MT 6 by the conservative grading crew at PSA, it's difficult to precisely identify why the offered 1954 Bowman example of Ted Williams didn't garner consideration in the NM to even NM/MT range. Near perfectly centered with what appear to be minimally NM corners between NM/MT edges around a positively brilliant image of the man who wasn't supposed to appear on a 1954 Bowman card, per the Topps legal team. Some scattered and perfectly typical NM/MT print can be observed in the blue sky backdrop, primarily in the upper left field, but the image of the great hitter boasts such impeccable precision and undeniably brilliant contrast that it could easily suffice for MINT, if not even GEM. An extremely high-end example that, unless we missed something in our thorough inspection, appears extremely out-of-place in a mere EX/MT 6 holder from PSA.
