The image of the Detroit defenseman is colorized with a hearty layer of red ink that resists the urge to bleed into the bright white segments of the Red Wing uniform. Expanding outward is an evenly spaced perimeter that abruptly concludes at its knife-edged border. The immaculate surface prevents the observer from dwelling on imperfections and allows an all-embracing appreciation of a truly fine specimen.
