Printed on thinner stock, the 1964 Venezuelan Topps issue can also be differentiated from the regular Topps issue by the appearance of a black border on the reverse. Surviving examples are remarkably rare, as Latin American collectors would typically glue their cards into albums made available from Topps. This 1964 Venezuelan Pete Rose card has several paper pulls on the reverse from being removed from an album. Despite its low grade, the offered example nonetheless boasts a well-preserved image of "Charlie Hustle." Remarkably, only 14 examples of Rose's card #125 have ever surfaced at PSA. An elusive issue for the aspiring Set Registry master.
